This outstanding product is similar to Bona Traffic HD floor lacquer but a bit cheaper. It was designed for floors that require a good level of protection but not the level of protection provided by Bona Traffic HD. The product provides outstanding protection against scratches, high heels and black marks. If properly cleaned, maintained and refreshed with Bona products, this floor lacquer can provide up to 10 years of uninterrupted protection. Bona Wave 2K Water Based Floor Lacquer | Where To Use It On all high traffic residential wooden floors. The product is sold with a hardener so it is also compatible with all Bona`s oil based wood stains and all Bona`s waterborne primers. The new Bona Wave 2K Water Based Floor Lacquer is compatible with all indoor wood floors and wood surfaces. It is available in a cool matt finish and in an elegant silk matt finish. With less than 4% VOC and a quick drying time this fine quality water based floor lacquer is highly desirable for the floor sanding and the floor refinishing industry. It can also be used as an overcoat over pre-existing finishes assuming that the surface is spotless, dry & residue free. The product is non-toxic and safe for use in households with children, pets and people with allergies. It can be used to seal all hardwood floors, engineered floors and on vertical surfaces (walls). Bona Wave 2K Water Based Floor Lacquer | How To Use It Prepare a special bucket to mix up the lacquer with the hardener. Always buy a bit of extra product to make sure that you have enough and you do not run the risk of running out of product in the middle of the project. Assuming that the wood stain or the wood primer is fully dry, you should prepare for varnishing. Dilute 1 to 10 the lacquer with the hardener while mixing the composition Allow up to 10 minutes to rest after the lacquer was mixed with the hardener Use a small varnishing brush to apply the product around the edges Using a quality varnishing roller start rolling the lacquer moving along with the fiber of the wood Apply the product abundantly and roll it on evenly Allow 2-3 hours to dry and re-sand the surface one more time with fine grit sandpaper Vacuum the surface well and apply the last coat One primer + 2 coats of floor lacquer or 3 coats of floor lacquer is the recommended process. While the recommended coverage area is 10-12 sq meters per 1 L, the surface porosity and the skill of the applicator can increase or decrease that coverage. Also, the first coat is likely to absorb more than the next coat. Bona Wave 2K Water Based Floor Lacquer | Recommendation Only mix up what you need to use within 4 hours. Any product that is not used within 4 hours will harden and it cannot be used later on. Do not dilute the product and do not mix up the new Bona Wave 2K Water Based Floor Lacquer with any other water based floor lacquer from Bona or any other brand. All accidental spills or touches should be wiped off within a few minutes. Do not apply more coats than the recommended number. Do not walk on the surface while wet. Always start from facing the wall and reversing to the door direction to avoid being trapped inside the room and having to walk on the newly lacquered floor.
